Previously, a large-scale system of operational and dispatching control of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok pipeline was commissioned to commercial operation and operates successfully. With the advent of the "Power of Siberia" pipeline facility there emerged a necessity to integrate new units of control into the existing SCADA, while bringing the information coming from disparate automation systems to a unified consistent form and ensuring the most seamless integration of new units without stopping the existing components of SCADA. At the end of March 2019, the factory tests of the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) expansion kit of the far Eastern regional control center for the project of the "Power of Siberia" main gas pipeline were successfully carried out. The start of commissioning works at the site of the far Eastern regional control center is scheduled for September 2019.
The objectives of SCADA are:
- Improving the safety of process-related works, reducing the number of incidents and emergency events and the timing of their treatment;
- Minimizing the need for permanent personnel presence at remote sites;
- Ensuring the execution of dispatched tasks;
- Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of analytical reporting data;
- Organization of data transmission to the "Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk" Central control room.
